Commonwealth Home Support Programme (Government-Funded)
The Commonwealth Home Support Programme offers basic support to assist older Australians in maintaining their independence and safety at home. Eligibility extends to individuals aged 65 and over, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders aged 50 and over. It caters to those capable of living at home with minimal assistance. However, it is not intended for individuals requiring extensive or complex care, who are instead directed to other aged care programs like the home care package. Your eligibility for CHSP will be determined by an aged care assessment.
Home Care Package (Government-Funded)
A Home Care Package is a wonderful support option provided by the Australian Government to help you age gracefully at home. It covers services that enable you to stay independent, safe, and healthy in your own space.
